When you have an emergency, time is critical! Living in rural areas, addresses can be hard to find. If you purchase an address sign from the View Volunteer Fire Department, you'll not only be helping us, you'll be helping yourself and family!

If you live within a 15 minute drive from View and are at least 20 years of age, WE NEED YOUR HELP! Whether it's fighting fires, taking care of the sick or injured, driving/pump operations or helping out with fundraisers, we could use you! Joining is easy and simple. Just fill out the online application, print it, sign it, and bring it to one of our business meetings. Once turned in, you will need to attend at least 2 more meetings/trainings and get two letters of recommendation from our members. Meetings are held the first Monday of each month at the fire station beginning at 7:30pm. Trainings are held every third Monday at 7:00pm. Everyone is welcome to attend. Come out and join today!
The View Volunteer Fire Department serves the communities of View and Caps, Texas as well as the southwestern areas adjacent to the city of Abilene, Texas; from the Abilene City Limits along US Hwy 277 SW about 10 miles, F.M. 1235 and F.M. 707 North and South of US Hwy 277.
View VFD provides Fire Suppression, Rescue and First Responder services. We also serve as mutual aid for surrounding towns and communities in central Taylor County.
